This position is part of a recent change initiative aimed at fostering closer relationships with our customers and developing a more strategic approach to managing Crown property across New Zealand. It's a unique opportunity to contribute to the responsible stewardship and sustainable use of Crown land for the benefit of current and future generations. As a key member of the Crown Property team, you will oversee the compliant and effective management of property portfolios, with a particular focus on Treaty settlement properties. Building and maintaining strong, respectful partnerships with Iwi will be central to your role as we honour Treaty obligations and work collaboratively to enhance the value and utility of Crown land. A significant part of your role will involve managing stakeholder relationships, particularly with Treaty partners, and overseeing the delivery of work through external service providers. You will also handle reactive maintenance, process complex applications, and ensure compliance across a wide range of activities, including agriculture, forestry, and mining. Hamilton is our preferred location for the role, but Wellington based applicants will also be considered. The Team for Land and Waterways: This role requires a solid understanding of property management, including processing complex applications, managing leases and renewals, and ensuring compliance through site inspections for a variety of activities. You will provide expert advice on Crown land purchases and Treaty acquisitions, leveraging your knowledge of Treaty settlements and land management to achieve positive, long-term outcomes. We are seeking candidates with proven expertise in stakeholder engagement, particularly in environments requiring statutory decision-making, compliance management, and collaboration with external service providers. Strong skills in contract and project management, as well as proficiency with system workflows and business processes, are essential. The ability to deliver consistent, timely decisions in a fast-paced operational environment is critical to success. Experience in land management, forestry, mining, contracting, compliance, inspections, or asset management is essential, along with practical knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance. This is a challenging and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio, often requiring travel to remote and rural locations for site inspections. Significant hands-on experience in land management, including scheduled and reactive maintenance, as well as asset management. Contract management, administration, and project management experience In-depth knowledge of government legislation and public policy, including national policy statements and local authority regulations, is critical for ensuring compliance and informed decision-making. A strong understanding of land-related laws and regulations, particularly the Resource Management Act 1991, Land Act 1948, Biosecurity Act 1993, Forests Act 1949, Proficiency in stakeholder engagement and relationship building, especially in environments involving multiple stakeholders, including Iwi and government agencies . Extensive experience with Treaty settlements and Maori-Crown relations, alongside a deep understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and strong Iwi engagement skills. Exceptional communication skills, along with the ability to adapt flexibly to various tasks andscenarios . Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to apply logical reasoning under pressure, with the ability to make quick, sound decisions in a fast-paced environment . A valid unrestricted New Zealand Driver's Preferred, but not essential: A relevant qualification in contract or project management, or a related discipline. The expected appointing range for this role is between $110,000 - $125,000, dependent on experience. Weld steel plate, steel angle, pipe socket, pipe threading, welds unistrut, etc. as required. Assist with concrete forming, trenching, testing, cleanup, and all other duties as assigned. Must be able to perform all work safely in accordance with Rockford’s safety procedures and guidelines. Maintain a clean and orderly workplace. Must be able to pass a background check. Overview Construction Quality Control personnel examine buildings, roadways, parking lots, asphalt, concrete, fuel piping, fuel tanks, excavations, and electrical systems. They ensure that construction complies with building codes and ordinances, as well as contract specifications. To monitor compliance with regulations, inspectors make an initial inspection during the first phase of construction and follow up with further inspections throughout the construction project. Although inspections are primarily visual, inspectors may use tape measures, survey instruments, metering devices, and equipment such as concrete strength measurers. These positions are part time and are approximately 8-hours per month. The DTPAMs will provide urinalysis specimen administrative support during regularly schedules Air National Regularly Scheduled Drills (RSD) for the Drug Demand Reduction Program (DDRP). Under the guidance of the Wing Drug Demand Reduction Program Manager (WDDRPM) or the Adjunct DTPAM, you will, within your assigned Air National Guard Service Component, directly provide the administrative support and occasional observation of selected ANG individuals providing urine samples for drug testing. Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to: The DTPAM ensures the DDRP collection process and scheduled testing day activity requirements are met. Ensure specimens are collected and bottles sealed in accordance with the DDRP DTPAM brief, ensuring accuracy of all administrative requirements for collected samples. Understand the legal requirements of the position to include the possibility of testifying in a court of law. Follow the instructions and direction of the WDDRPM and Adjunct DTPAM. Employee must confirm with the WDDRPM/Adjunct DTPAM that DTPAM briefing training was completed prior to any the collection process commencing. Provide feedback of the Wing Drug Demand Reduction Programs to the WDDRPM, and Adjunct DTPAM. Notify the WDDRPM/Adjunct DTPAM of any conflicts with scheduled workdays immediately. Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: High School Diploma or equivalent which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
